Hello, everyone (which we are pleased to announce now includes over 1,300 of you and counting)! We at FYMIM (fyeahmeninmakeup.tumblr.com) want to thank all of you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm for our blog. From our humble beginnings as a mere experiment to the empire of men wearing mascara that we are today, we truly appreciate all of the positive reactions we have received. As some of our loyal readers may have noticed, our administrators have been sidetracked with a few projects lately that have made it difficult to update with the same frequency that could once be expected of us. Rest assured we are not going anywhere, and even intend to bring back the interview features which many of you enjoyed!
At this time, we would like to request the support of our readers—you!—in keeping FYMIM the source of art, expression, diversity, and eye candy that has become our brand. Our submissions box and ask box are wide open—if you have any requests, suggestions, pictures you would like us to post (either your own or with source information), interview nominations or offers, or any comments you may like to send us, please do!
We are striving to remain the definitive source that not only breaks but blends and glues false eyelashes onto traditional ideas about masculinity from around the world. From drag queens to professional wrestlers, from rock stars to male models to everyday men the world over, our mission is to showcase the diversity of culture, subculture, and gender expression espoused by an array of men who have one thing in common: being clad in cosmetics. In an age where men are expected in many societies to pay little attention to their appearances and are offered slim to no freedom of expression through aesthetics, we seek to honor and exemplify the brave and creative souls of the past and present, paving the way for a fabulous future. We truly appreciate your ongoing support of our cause—whether by submitting content and feedback, spreading the word, or even simply staying tuned, thank you!
